Lush, but more pink than clay

I love this color. To my eye, it has enough warmth that it doesn’t pull Pepto-pink. Still, it straddles the edge between a true clay and is more pinky-clay. This is exactly what I wanted, but it wasn’t always obvious from the pictures. This color went on very smoothly and I found that it easily covered the room in 2-3 coats with 2 buckets. I chose to paint the dining room with 36 hrs and also the hallway, and it gave a wonderful, cavernous effect. This is our most complimented room color.

Wonderful against dark wood

Night on Earth is our second Backdrop paint color, purchased after using 36 hrs in Marrakesh. I found that this paint was thicker than 36 hrs, despite being the same finish and purchased within the same month or so, and I worried that I would run out. In the end, it worked out, and we are very happy with the color. It makes our oranges and yellows pop, looks great when viewed through the archway against the pink-clay color of 36 hrs, and it doesn’t pull olive. In particular, it looks great with our Halloween and Christmas decor. I would choose this color again and again.

In awe

I hung the Luminaries wallpaper in my kitchen and can’t get over how much it complements the space while adding some wonderful whimsy. The details of the design are rich and the colors are full of depth. Everyone who’s seen it so far has talked about how they want to just stare at it because there’s so much to look at. The paper is so durable and it was easy to hang/manipulate but I did it solo and would 100% recommend having someone with experience to assist/lead/do.

Favorite Wallpaper

The texture on the wallpaper is gorgeous, and the suggested paint colors harmonize so well with the paper. Obsessed!

Excellent Coverage

2 of the walls were originally a almost black color, I primed over the black walls, and it still only took two coats to cover with this lighter tone. The paint goes on really smoothly and has excellent coverage.

I'm in love with this paint!

I ordered a can of the Road to Todos Santos for my guest bedroom. The color is absolutely gorgeous and I couldn't be happier. I have used Backdrop in the past and love the quality of the paint. Both times, I've only had to use one coat! Previously, I bought Jawbreaker for my bedroom and it was exactly the color I wanted. The only negative is that this time, the shipping took quite a while. However, I was in no hurry to paint the room so that really wasn't an issue. Backdrop has spoiled me! I don't think I'll ever use another brand.

Packaging and paint and everything just feels very top of the line. I only had to use one coat of this paint even though I always use two with every other kind of paint. Overall, I really liked it and am already looking into other colors to paint the rest of my home.
